Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month serves as a reminder of the importance of understanding, researching, and raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease, a progressive neurodegenerative condition that affects millions of individuals and families around the world. Throughout the month of November, we encourage everyone to educate themselves, show compassion, and support those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses.

What is Alzheimer’s Disease?

Alzheimer’s disease is a chronic brain disorder that progressively impairs memory, thinking, and behavior. As it advances, it can severely impact a person’s ability to carry out daily tasks. Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia, accounting for around 60-80% of all dementia cases. It primarily affects older adults, though early-onset Alzheimer’s can develop in people under the age of 65.

Symptoms often start with mild memory loss and confusion, which worsen over time. As the disease progresses, individuals may experience difficulty recognizing loved ones, trouble speaking, and losing the ability to perform everyday activities.
